Her exotic looks also  captured the eye of ace Korean director Park Chan-wook who casted her in his film Thirst.  She is also one

of the hotshot models in the country today.

One of the most acclaimed advocates of  Philippine alternative cinema, Mendoza is the first Filipino to win the most coveted Best Director Award for his film Kinatay  (Butchered) at the 2009 Cannes International Film Festival. Dubbed by film buffs as an ultra neo-realist, Brillante aims to depict social realities through the lives of ordinary people in extraordinary situations against the backdrop of issues that plague the country. 

Though his output is relatively neophyte so far, Burgos has scripted at least two films that have scored international acclaim. He penned Auraeus Solito's Busong (Palawan Fate), which was invited to the Directors' Fortnight at the 2011 Cannes International Film Festival. As a co-writer for Ralston Jover's Bakal Boys ( Children Metal Divers), he won at the International Digital Cinema Festival in Japan and a Special Mention at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival in Greece in 2010

One of the country's best cinematographers, Flores has been the director of photography for most films of Brillante Mendoza that have been showcased in various competitions abroad. So far, Flores has won at least two international awards on top of local prizes for his camera work. He also lensed three of Maryo delos Reyes's widely acclaimed films: Laman, Magnifico and Naglalayag. (featuring Ms. Nora Aunor).
